Devotional Time

The past few weeks I have been doing my own devotional time, and man did it hit my soul because it’s that moment when you know God is really hearing you. What does God mean to me? Well……………….

God…the all powerful.

God…the all knowing.

God…my first Love.

God…my life support.

God…my main guide.

God…the right path.

God…the one I worship.

If I keep going by what God means to me I will never finish! You know? It amazes me each day on what God has planned for me. He always talks to me in one way or another, and the Lord never leaves my side. It is outstanding that God sees me as an instrument that can be used even though at times I might feel worthless. It is amazing how God picks me up when I am feeling down, and it amazes me on how I can talk to him as if he was my best friend. When I pray I just praise God I never ask for anything because the Lord already knows my needs. At times, when I feel down something unexpected happens in my life that leaves me in tears….happy tears. When you least expect it God always comes knocking at your door, but it is up to you if you can really hear that angelical voice. Weeks ago, I have seen that when I sing I can feel the Lord through me with every note, and this only happens when I sing songs that please him. It is crazy to think how God can use someone to big and greater things that no one can ever imagine.

God…my doctor.

God…my refuge.

God…my father.

God…my music.

God…my ruler.

God…my listener.

God…my voice.

There are times when I know I won’t be able to continue my day, but something happens that fixes everything. It is at that moment when I feel someone hugging me and I can’t help but look up and say “Alright homeboy I know it is you and no one else but you for which today and forever I praise you…thank you God!” There is one bible verse in the bible in which is my favorite verse and my grandma would always recite it:

The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul. Psalm 23:1-3

I do not know what you might be going through, I honestly do not know, but I can reassure you that God is watching over you. We all go through tough times but is that moment when you need to think who really is in control of your life. You might be going through a divorce, tough time at school, stress, fights, sickness, confusion, scared because you do not know where this life is taking you, a loss of a loved one, and much more and if you are I want you to say this prayer at this very moment:

Dear God, Here I am and I come to you with a heart that is really troubled. I feel like I am fading away slowly, but it is now that I want you to hold me. You see, I have no idea how to talk to you because I am just so little or at least that is how I feel. I would like for you to cure me on the inside-out. I don’t know how to fight darkness and let your light come right through me. I am going through things that only you know, but I declare that you take away anything that is bothering me out of my life. Heal me, hear me, show me, guide me, help me, and most of all please do not let me go. Better days are yet to come because I believe in your word, and I believe that you will always be by my side. Thank you because I know there is a miracle coming my way, and I will forever strongly believe in it. Fix whatever needs to be fixed in me, and let me walk with you from now on. Help me rest tonight in your grace and in the confidence that you are nearby. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

If you said this prayer rest for sure that God has you in his hands, and will never let you go. Leave everything in the hands of the Lord for he knows you better than anyone in this world. You are here for a reason so do not ever give up because brighter days are yet to come if you only believe. God bless you all and have a great weekend.
